What you should do?
- Keep clean equipment and utensils used for food preparation at all the time.
- Keep clean kitchen– Protect kitchen areas and food from insects, pests and other animals.
- Keep clean hand-Wash hands the right way for 20 seconds with plain soap and running water before handling food and often during food preparation.
How to do it ?
Follow 7 step washing hand
Wet your hands with warm or cold running water and apply soap.
- Rub palms together
- Scrub the backs of your hands
- Interlace fingers and rub hands together
- Interlock fingers and rub the back of fingers of both hands
- Rub thumb in rotating manner
- Rub fingertips on palm for both hand in circular motion
- Rub both wrists in rotating manner.
Continue rubbing hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Sing “Happy Birthday” from beginning to end TWICE. Rinse and dry thoroughly using clean towel or air dry.
When to do it:
- Before eating food.
- Before, during, and after preparing food.
- Before and after treating a cut or wound.
- Before and after caring for someone who is sick.
- After handling uncooked eggs, or raw meat, poultry, seafood, or their juices.
- After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- After touching an animal or animal waste.
- After touching garbage.
- After using the toilet.
