What you should do?

  1. Keep clean equipment and utensils used for food preparation at all the time.
  2. Keep clean kitchen– Protect kitchen areas and food from insects, pests and other animals.
  3. Keep clean hand-Wash hands the right way for 20 seconds with plain soap and running water before handling food and often during food preparation.

How to do it ?

Follow 7 step washing hand

Wet your hands with warm or cold running water and apply soap.

  • Rub palms together
  • Scrub the backs of your hands
  • Interlace fingers and rub hands together
  • Interlock fingers and rub the back of fingers of both hands
  • Rub thumb in rotating manner
  • Rub fingertips on palm for both hand in circular motion
  • Rub both wrists in rotating manner.

Continue rubbing hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Sing “Happy Birthday” from beginning to end TWICE. Rinse and dry thoroughly using clean towel or air dry.

When to do it:

  • Before eating food.
  • Before, during, and after preparing food.
  • Before and after treating a cut or wound.
  • Before and after caring for someone who is sick.
  • After handling uncooked eggs, or raw meat, poultry, seafood, or their juices.
  • After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • After touching an animal or animal waste.
  • After touching garbage.
  • After using the toilet.
